A TINY MACOS UNARCHIVER

Your archives.
His problem.

A little app for packing and unpacking.

Every archive gets one spot in line.

A preview of a beautifully boring afternoon.

PACK A LITTLE LIGHTER

Compression.
In human.

Files, folders, a bit of both. Give them a name, choose ZIP or 7Z, and let him put everything in its place.

Already compressed photos and videos may barely shrink. Even the horns have limits.

The sensible choice. He makes those occasionally.

BEFORE YOU ASK

Small print.
Big honesty.

He’s a bull of surprisingly few secrets.

Is it free and open source?

Yes. SweetUn’s own code is MIT licensed. The bundled 7-Zip engine has its own license terms, included in the repository. Contributions, ideas, and constructive bull jokes are welcome.

Which archives can he handle?

Extract ZIP, 7Z, RAR, RAR5, TAR, and compressed TAR archives. Create ZIP and 7Z. Password-protected ZIP and 7Z extraction is supported; creating encrypted archives isn’t available yet. For split archives, choose the first volume and keep the others beside it.

Where do my files go?

Each archive unpacks into its own folder beside the original, unless you choose another destination. Existing output names get a number added. Your source files stay untouched. “Show in Finder” takes you straight to the results.

Is he ready for the big leagues?

SweetUn 0.1.0 is available as a universal DMG. This first release uses a local ad-hoc signature and is not Apple notarized; macOS may require permission to open it. Very large archives, low-disk-space behavior, and RAR multipart compatibility still need more testing. Growing horns takes time.

SMALL APP. GAINFULLY EMPLOYED BULL.
